6-Saint Basil’s Cathedral ;
Saint Basil’s Cathedral ‘Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin by the Moat’ was built between 1554 and 1561 by ‘Ivan the Terrible’, and situated in the heart of Moscow; famous for its distinctive nine individual chapels with a unique onion dome. The cathedral was designed in such a way to represent a Heavenly Kingdom reflecting an architectural representation of the New Jerusalem. This unique architecture was built but to any subsequent period. Kazan is the capital of Tatarstan, it is a city where European and Asian cultures meet as it is located in European part of Russia on the banks of the Volga and the Kazanka Rivers… it is referred as the Istanbul of the Volga. Part of the longest continuous rail journey on earth, the classic Trans-Siberian railway runs all the way from one end Moscow to all the way to the other Vladivostok, a city near Russia’s borders with China and North Korea a journey of 6 .5 .
